Peace in Common
This immersive workshop is designed to unite our local community in the practice of cultivating peace in ourselves, for ourselves, each other + the city we serve.
Inspired by a year of community living + training, facilitator Rachel Butt returns home to share the beauty of mindfulness, yoga and sound bathing as a foundation for peace.
Together we will explore these practices, turning our attention inwards by inviting our minds to observe the breath, flow through gentle movement, holding postures to build stability and release any tension held in the body.
You will be invited to observe thoughts without judgement creating a sense of ease in the mind and body before we move into a deep relaxation bathing in sound to leave us fully relaxed, rebalanced + renewed.
We will come together united in our shared peace to enjoy a vegan meal lovingly prepared by Backhaus.
No experience needed.
Bring a mat, a blanket, an open heart + an open mind.
Some free spaces available on request to remove money as an obstacle for attendance.
