Balance & Bloom are proud to present a 6 week Baby Yoga course suitable for babies from 8 weeks to walking.
The session builds on baby massage techniques to provide a gentle exercise opportunity for adult and baby.
Baby yoga is a physically interactive class which has amazing benefits for both adult and baby. It eases a baby's transition from the womb into the world, using gentle movements and stretches to aid relaxation and bonding. Baby yoga stimulates the development of a baby's balance system and enhances their self awareness, teaching them about their own body and senses.
Baby Yoga stretches can also bring relief to a number of conditions suffered by babies which can cause them to be uncomfortable in the first few months of life.
Engaging in baby yoga creates a space for parent/carer and baby bonding and facilitates pre verbal communication, allowing a greater understanding of one another.
Parents and carers will learn baby yoga stretches, baby holds and swings which are paired with songs, as well as relaxation exercises which can be practiced at home.
Parents and carers will also participate in yoga inspired stretches, breathing exercises and relaxation with their baby. This is further developed in week 6 by a specific session introducing the mother to Post Natal Yoga.
The 6 week course costs just £45 which is payable at the first session.
